Procurement Fundamentals

This skill set is for those working in a procurement or contract management role.

This comprehensive program offers a deep dive into the core principles that drive successful procurement processes. From understanding sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management to honing negotiation skills and cost analysis techniques. • PSPLEG002 – Encourage compliance with legislation in the public sector
• PSPPCM004 – Plan procurement
• PSPPCM006 – Select providers and develop contracts
• PSPPCM007 – Manage contracts

Completion of this skill set contributes to PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting.

The course is completed in four (4) full days. 

Course participants can attend this course in-person, on client site or on a Pro Leaders’ Training Centre, or virtually via live streaming.  Pro Leaders’ Training Centres can provide a blended approach that allows course participants to either attend the same course virtually or in-person.

Specific Requirements

No formal education required, however some exposure to procurement and/or purchasing within a commercial environment is advantageous.

Course participants must have a functional level of English and have the capacity for independent learning and group work.
