PSPSS00043 Procurement Delegation

This skill set is for those who have authority to exercise delegation for procurement, and for higher level managers who oversee the procurement process but for whom procurement is not their main role.

This skill set is specifically tailored for individuals who hold the authority to delegate and make crucial decisions in the realm of procurement. It’s also intended for higher-level managers who bear the responsibility of overseeing the procurement process within their organisation, even when procurement is not their primary focus. These skills are vital in ensuring that procurement operations run seamlessly and are aligned with the broader strategic goals of the organisation. Whether it’s a senior executive overseeing procurement from a macro perspective or a manager responsible for delegating procurement tasks to their team, this skill set equips them with the knowledge and tools required to navigate the complexities of procurement and maintain a seamless procurement workflow, contributing to the overall success of their organisation.

Completion of this skill set contributes to PSP40116 Certificate IV in Government and PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting.

The course is completed in three (3) full days. 

Course participants can attend this course in-person, on client site or on a Pro Leaders’ Training Centre, or virtually via live streaming.  Pro Leaders’ Training Centres can provide a blended approach that allows course participants to either attend the same course virtually or in-person.

Specific Requirements

No formal education required, however some exposure to procurement and/or purchasing within a commercial environment is advantageous. 

General Requirements

Course participants must have a functional level of English and have the capacity for independent learning and group work.
