This one-day course is ideal for people who are wanting a quick overview of the essentials to mentoring people within the workplace.  This is aimed at anyone wanting to understand the important aspects of mentoring with mixture of theory and practical exercises to provide some foundation for people looking to get started in establish a mentoring relationship with a mentee.  This course is delivered face-to-face and is a non-accredited course that will result in a Certificate of Attendance.

  • Mindset of a mentor;
  • Facilitate mentoring relationship;
  • Setting up a mentoring session;
  • Building rapport;

This highly-interactive course is delivered face-to-face and is an Australian Accredited course that will result in a Statement of Attainment with the course based on the following nationally recognised Unit of Competency:

As this course is based on a Unit of Competency, a written assessment is required at the end of the course over an allocated 2 hours

Management Skills

This highly interactive two-day workshop is designed develop strategies to communicate and negotiate effectively.  This course consists of theory, practical exercises and a video-recording of the practical exercises that will be emailed to the participant for review and reference. 

Key aspects:

  • Understand what you want out of the negotiation;
  • Understand what you can reasonably expect as a negotiated outcome;
  • Determine what you are willing to give up;
  • Understand the pitfalls of failing to recognise the other party’s strengths and weaknesses;
  • Have sufficient skills to overcome objections; and
  • Know how to close the deal.

Upon completion of this two-day workshop and all assessment activities, students may be awarded with a Statement of Attainment for the following Unit of Competency:

Negotiate with Influence is a course within the Negotiation program designed for anyone looking to develop their negotiation skills and to learn the strategies to negotiate effectively. It is a practical and highly interactive 3-day course that will teach you the techniques and skills to negotiate and communicate successfully. We will teach you the art of body language and we’ll also provide you with the tools to maximise your opportunities and to increase your confidence of knowing when and how to apply these skills to optimise the outcome for all parties. It will also show how conflicts can be effectively managed by negotiating with stakeholders.

This highly interactive three-day workshop is designed develop strategies to communicate and negotiate effectively with a focus on engaging effectively with stakeholders. It will investigate the various stakeholder engagement strategies and how to effectively use them in the workplace through the different negotiation styles and will show how conflicts can be effectively managed by negotiating with stakeholders. This course consists of theory, practical exercises and a video-recording of the practical exercises that will be emailed to the participant for review and reference. As a consequence, a much smaller class of maximum 10 people will allow all students to be recorded for their practical exercise.

Everyone has the capacity for giving useful feedback and some people use it to more effectively than others. This practical workshop will teach you to recognise the characteristics of effective and ineffective feedback, and understand the impact different communication styles have on the giving and receiving of feedback. You will learn a simple and powerful model for delivering balanced feedback, especially in challenging feedback situations.  The use of case studies and role-plays in the workshop will provide a platform from which you can recognise and critique effective and less effective approaches to giving and receiving feedback.
