This dual qualification program focuses on developing leadership in the strategic procurement space of the public service. You will learn to develop your strategic procurement direction and be able to lead the public service through compliance and ethical practices. You will also learn to lead and manage people using emotional intelligence and influence to ensure effective teams and working relationships.

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, course participants will be awarded with the PSP80116 Graduate Certificate in Strategic Procurement qualification.
Satisfactory completion includes daily attendance of the course, completion of both classroom and individual assessment, and contribution towards discussions and group work.
This course can be delivered either over 5 months during business hours or 8 months of after-hour fortnightly training over the calendar year, with the completion of assessment to be completed outside of training sessions. Each option will require between 40 and 80 hours of personal time to complete the assessment that contributes towards your competency for the course.
Course participants can attend this course in-person, on client site or on a Pro Leaders’ Training Centre, or virtually via live streaming. Pro Leaders’ Training Centres can provide a blended approach that allows course participants to either attend the same course virtually or in-person.
For those with experience and/or related prior learning, we offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Specific Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of Australian Government experience in a manager or executive position, with exposure to government procurement AND/OR holds an Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting.
General Requirements
Course participants must have a functional level of English and have the capacity for independent learning and group work.
