The Diploma of Procurement and Contracting is ideal for professionals wanting to gain a practical understanding of how government procurement and contract management can be implemented and managed in a team. This course will make you think more strategically about procurement, particularly when procuring multiple goods and/or services. You will learn to manage contract performance, coordinate, and manage risks, and strategically source to make the purchasing process more efficient and streamlined.

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, course participants will be awarded with the PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement and Contracting qualification.
Satisfactory completion includes daily attendance of the course, completion of both classroom and individual assessment, and contribution towards discussions and group work.
Classroom training is delivered over eleven (11) full days, generally over four blocks of training, within a 2-3 month period:
Course participants can attend this course in-person, on client site or on a Pro Leaders’ Training Centre, or virtually via live streaming. Pro Leaders’ Training Centres can provide a blended approach that allows course participants to either attend the same course virtually or in-person.
For those with experience and/or related prior learning, we offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Specific Requirements
Minimum of 6 months of Australian Government experience, preferably in as a team leader or manager, with exposure to government procurement AND/OR holds a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting.
General Requirements
Course participants must have a functional level of English and have the capacity for independent learning and group work.
