BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

This qualification is designed to give individuals the skills and edge needed to take leadership of an organisation and manage it accordingly.  It is ideal for those who are looking to pursue a management or supervisory role by recognising and enhancing your current knowledge and skills to become the leader you aspire to be.

This course gives you the introduction to the skills and techniques to lead and manage a team while providing stability and maintaining control. The course is suitable and transferable to many working environments, and is ideal as an entry-level course into management front line.

This course consists of twelve (12) units:

• BSBXTW401 Lead and facilitate a team;

• BSBLDR413 Lead effective workplace relationships;
• BSBLDR521 Lead the development of diverse workforces;
• BSBLDR412 Communicate effectively as a workplace leader;
• BSBXCM401 Apply communication strategies in the workplace;
• BSBLDR411 Demonstrate leadership in the workplace;
• BSBSTR401 Promote innovation in team environment

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, course participants will be awarded with the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management qualification. 

Satisfactory completion includes daily attendance of the course, completion of both classroom and individual assessment, and contribution towards discussions and group work.

Classroom training is delivered over eleven (11) full days, generally over four blocks of training, within a 2-3 month period:

• Block 1 (3 days)
• Block 2 (3 days)
• Block 3 (3 days)
• Block 4 (2 days)

Course participants can attend this course in-person, on client site or on a Pro Leaders’ Training Centre, or virtually via live streaming.  Pro Leaders’ Training Centres can provide a blended approach that allows course participants to either attend the same course virtually or in-person.

For those with experience and/or related prior learning, we offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

General Requirements

Course participants must have a functional level of English and have the capacity for independent learning and group work.
